Pokemon Unite is a MOBA that can be enjoyed solo or with a group of up to 5 people. Solo and group players have the option of playing Quick, Standard, or Ranked matches. Quick and Standard still offer points towards Trainer level, Event rewards, and the Battle Pass, but it's Ranked combat that rewards players significantly for climbing the classes.
At the end of every season in Pokemon Unite, Aeos Tickets are awarded to all players who reached at least Expert Rank 1. The higher the Class, the more tickets a player receives. Aeos Tickets are a precious commodity in the multiplayer title, as they can be used to purchase Item Enhancers. There are other items that trainers can purchase, but upgrading Held Items is one of the only ways to gain an advantage in combat.

There are 6 Ranks in Pokemon Unite, each with its own number of Classes:
- Beginner Rank (3 Classes) – 80 Performance Points to earn a Diamond Point
- Great Rank (4 Classes) – 120 Performance Points to earn a Diamond Point
- Expert Rank (5 Classes) – 200 Performance Points to earn a Diamond Point
- Veteran Rank (5 Classes) – 300 Performance Points to earn a Diamond Point
- Ultra Rank (5 Classes) – 400 Performance Points to earn a Diamond Point
- Master Rank (No Classes)
Players must first reach Trainer level 6, have 5 Pokemon Licences, and a Fair Play Score of at least 80 to compete in Ranked matches. For every Class, 4 Diamond Points must be earned to progress to the next Class/Rank until Master is reached. At this level, a new rating system is used that ranks players based on their victory points, with a cap of 99999.
A Diamond Point is earned by winning a match or earning a Performance Point, and a Diamond can also be taken away by losing. If players lose all of their Diamonds in a Class and then lose their next match, they will drop down to the previous Class/Rank. Players can avoid this if they have just earned a Performance Point. Winning matches is made easier by upgrading held items.
Performance Points are earned by completing these specific targets:
- Scoring 50-99 Points – 5 Performance Points
- Scoring 100-199 Points – 10 Performance Points
- Scoring 200+ Points – 15 Performance Points
- Win Streak Bonus – 10 Performance Points
- Sportsmanship – 10 Performance Points
- Participation Bonus – 10 Performance Points
Players will receive more Aeos Tickets the higher Rank they are. They can climb the ranks by perfecting their strategy and trying out different moves and items. Having a good Snorlax or Slowbro build is recommended for the higher classes.
It doesn't matter if a trainer reached a certain Class but then dropped below when the season ends; as long as that Class was reached at least once, they will receive one of the following Aeos Tickets amounts:
- Beginner Class – 2000 Aeos Tickets
- Great Class – 4000 Aeos Tickets
- Expert Class – 6000 Aeos Tickets
- Veteran Class – 10000 Aeos Tickets
- Ultra Class – 15000 Aeos Tickets
- Master Class – 20000 Aeos Tickets
If players need Aeos Tickets now, they can complete Events, improve their Trainer level, buy the Battle Pass, or try their luck with the Energy Rewards.
As well as receiving Aeos Tickets at the end of every Pokemon Unite season, trainers can also earn unique Season Rewards by completing certain Ranked goals. Season 1 currently gives players the Work Set fashion items for playing 20 Ranked matches and reaching Expert Class 1.
This unique outfit is only available for completing these Season 1 requirements and is not purchasable even if trainers have plenty of fashion tickets to spend. The Work Set is unlocked as soon as trainers reach the required goals, so they don't have to wait until the end of the season to try that fashionable red jacket on for size.
Pokemon Unite is available now as a free download on Switch and later for mobile devices.
