Pokemon Unite Gardevoir Build Guide

The time has finally come – Gardevoir has officially arrived in Pokemon Unite. Being the first new Pokemon to be added to Tencent's all new Pokemon MOBA, the beloved Psychic/Fairy type is already shaking things up quite a bit, having access to powerful builds capable of completely changing the tide of a tense game.

Although Pokemon Unite only launched last week, the developers have already started rolling out new 'mons to try out in standard and ranked matches. For what it's worth, we also know that Blastoise and other Pokemon will be coming to the game in the near future.

If you've been saving up your Aeos Coins or Aeos Gems, there's a good chance you might want to splash out on Gardevoir's Unite License today. However, before you spend your hard-earned currency, it's important to know what Gardevoir actually brings to the table. That's why we've taken the liberty of putting together this handy guide to the best Gardevoir build in Pokemon Unite, including details about the best moves, items, and strategies for the MOBA's latest contender. Here's everything you need to know.

Pokemon Unite Gardevoir Build Guide: Best Moves

When you load into a match as Ralts, the first form of Gardevoir, you'll want to immediately select Confusion. While Teleport can come in handy in early teamfights, you need to farm minions along whichever lane you opt for, meaning having a damage-dealing move is essential – especially given that you don't evolve into Kirlia until level six, meaning you've got quite a way to go before getting stronger.

Both Future Sight and Psyshock are good, but I've had much better luck with Psyshock's triple hit so far, so we'd recommend you go with that. Similarly, there's an argument to be made for both Psychic and Moonblast, but Psychic's inducement of slow makes it particularly valuable when it comes to taking out low-health enemies who are trying to escape. Gardevoir's Unite move, Fairy Singularity, is great for crowd control and particularly good for taking out the enemy team quickly when it comes to fighting Zapdos.

Pokemon Unite Gardevoir Build Guide: Best Items

Gardevoir is a special attacker, meaning that the Wise Glasses are an absolute must here. Some people double up with the Special Attack Specs, further increasing your damage output. For the last held item, I'd probably recommend a Scoring Shield.

A lot of Gardevoir players are running Eject Button for their battle item, but I'm not sure how necessary this is. Ralts has Teleport until level six, which is the same thing on a shorter cooldown, and by the time you evolve into Kirlia the leveling economy should be in your favour. That being said, I'd recommend X Attack to stack your already boosted special attack stat even further.

Pokemon Unite Gardevoir Build Guide: Best Playstyle

Like all Attackers, Gardevoir needs to choose either the top or bottom lane and stick to it. You'll need a partner to help you out, especially in the early game, so stick with either a Defender, All-Rounder, or Support character if possible.

Your main goal should be to farm minions as fast as possible so that you can win the first 2v2 and score around 20 points. If you go back and kill another couple of wild Pokemon, you should evolve into Kirlia before your teammates even reach level five. At this point, it's a matter of spamming Confusion/Psyshock until you get the option to unlock either Moonblast or Psychic. Provided you've leveled right, you should evolve into Gardevoir at level ten with an advantage over the enemy team, which will be easy to exploit for the rest of the game provided you're always attacking alongside at least one bulky teammate.
