The Pulse 3D Wireless Headset will be coming in Midnight Black and that version of the headset will be available next month, Sony has confirmed. This follows Sony releasing the DualSense in both Midnight Black and Cosmic Red back in June. However, an exact release date for the Midnight Black headset is yet to be confirmed. With both these accessories getting different colourways, Sony could be getting gearing up to release consoles, or at least faceplates, in different colours. There has been quite a bit of demand from people wanting a black PS5 console as an alternative to the current white one, but no official word on new colours has been released by Sony.
The Pulse 3D Headset was released at the same time as the PS5 and was specifically designed to take full advantage of the sound options of the console, including the Tempest 3D AudioTech. This tech allows players to pinpoint different sounds in the game environment with more accuracy. A new equaliser feature for the Pulse Headset is also being released on PS5, giving players the option to choose from the three presets of Standard, Bass Boost, or Shooter, which were apparently the most popular on PS4. Players do have the option to create their own presets too if the Sony ones do not cut it. This equaliser comes as part of the PS5 firmware update, which also brings the following to PS5.

Trophies will now display vertically instead of horizontally, so you can actually see what each trophy is. You can track up to five trophies per game in a new Control Centre feature, which will also let you pin the trophies to the side of the screen when playing. Alongside this release, PS4 firmware update 9.00 has also been released.
