Shining Nikki’s first big event, Lodden’s Night, has kicked off and its Hotel Infiltration section can be quite intimidating. With so many options when it comes to outfit choices and story paths you can take, things may seem a little confusing. While it’s not a very free-to-play friendly event, it is quite easy if you get lucky and snag some of the current banner’s outfits. Before you follow this guide, I recommend that you go ahead and get any pulls you would like to do on event items out of the way. Some of those bonus items may come to your aid later.
With your gacha luck spent, you can go ahead and navigate to Hotel Infiltration from the Lodden’s Night menu on the bottom right.
Hotel Infiltration Guide
The timeline and warning about your choices in this event can be intimidating, but don’t worry as it’s all really quite simple. Your entire aim is to work your way down every branch of the event. I found it easy to go back and forth between the two branches, then stopping to do the sections in the middle. Before you proceed, here are a few tips:
- Pay attention to the event bonus in the left-hand corner for the two Lodden’s Night outfits. You’ll get a certain percentage more points for different pieces, and sometimes that bonus works out to be way more than the theme bonuses you may have from other pieces.
- Don’t fret too much over getting three flowers (an S rating) for every battle. It wasn’t until I heavily invested in pulling for Lodden’s Night clothing that I was able to get the bonus of 20 pink diamonds. It is not worth excessive pulls to just try and land 20-40 diamonds unless you really like the piece.
- Your total points in the upper right-hand corner seem to be unimportant. There is no reward for climbing the ranks, so you should only be completing this event working towards pieces you want and aiming for A ratings on challenges where they’re available.
- Make sure to redeem your rewards at the bottom for completing stages. There’s 15 stages total, and for completing all of them you’ll earn two event tickets, a pose, and an event-exclusive dress.
- If you intend to spend money on this event, do not spend your diamonds on pulls. Instead, purchase tickets from the cash shop. They’re the better value. You can check out our Lodden’s Night explainer on those offerings.
Collecting Hotel Infiltration Items
In each tiny box you see on the branches, you’ll be introduced to a new area to investigate. When the hotel investigation begins, you should select the Hotel Map (pictured below) in the upper right corner to see how many items you need to find. You’ll collect these items by tapping around on the screen to find them, it’s pretty easy to locate everything. Some areas will require you to find certain items from other levels before you can proceed.
While gathering all of these items is a pretty straightforward task, there are some levels where you will become gated if you do not go back and retrieve an item from before. The first is the security room, which is the second encounter on the right path. You’ll need to use the Hotel Business Card number on the keypad. You can find the card in the front desk area.
Another encounter on the right path, the meeting space before Unreal Truth, will present you with a second keypad. You need to use the number from the bottom of the Mysterious Photo found in this room.
Outside of those instances, you should be able to navigate the other paths easily, just make sure to use your Hotel Map to check to see if you have all of the items from each hotel investigation before moving forward. While the hitboxes for some of these secrets can be tiny, I found it simple enough to just tap all over the screen until uncovering something. There are typically no more than four items to a room, and this is a quick way to nab everything.
