Insomniac Games have revealed Spider-Man 2, but be prepared for quite a wait, as the game is tentatively expected for release all the way off in the year 2023.
Still, it’s the exact kind of Spider-Man duo team-up that fans of Spider-Man and Spider-Man Miles Morales will have been hoping for, and with one of the most iconic arch nemeses of the dynamic spider duo making an appearance.
Yup, it’s Venom!
Of course, it’s not just Venom, with the voice over certainly hinting at another threat that is stepping into the neighbourhood, looking to challenge the two spiders in combat. Now, we’ve already had some teasers and hints as to who that might be from the endings of the first game and Miles Morales’ interquel. No spoilers here, but we’ve already had some speculation as to what’s going on.

Of course, with all of those hints, and Venom, and there being two Spider-Men who could be playable characters, there’s certainly some very tasty directions that Insomniac could take their original version of the Spider-Man universe. It’s going to be a long, long wait until 2023…
So, why not catch up on the story so far? Spider-Man was a great game on PS4 and has been remastered for PS5 alongside the release of Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
We gave Spider-Man: Miles Morales a great 8/10 in our review. “Spider-Man: Miles Morales feels like more of a sequel than it is a stopgap, entangling players within its web of cleverly refined mechanics while delivering some familiar web-slinging thrills,” said Jim. “A heroic technical showcase for PS5 owners picking up their consoles on day one, this meaty side story in the Spider-Man saga has us even more excited than before to see what Insomniac Games have planned next.”
