Splitgate is entering Season 0, bringing with it a new map, a new mode, and a new battle pass.
The new Season for Splitgate was shown off during Gamescom's Opening Night Live. The trailer showcased some of the new features coming in the season, with the main focus being the new map.

The trailer for Splitgate Season 0 doesn't show much more beyond some typical gameplay, but the reveal did announce that this season will bring with it a new map, Karman Studio. The Season will also get a 100-level battle pass, and a brand new game mode.
That game mode is Contamination Mode, described by 1047 Games in a press release. "In Contamination Mode, the contaminated player equips only a melee weapon and contaminates as many other players as possible by killing them, ending the round when all other players become infected. Players who become contaminated then spawn and switch sides, garnering points for contaminating as many players as they can. Uninfected players equip a shotgun and earn points by killing as many contaminated players as they can, so there’s multiple ways to rack up points in this action-packed thrilling mode. This mode is…infectious."
Splitgate was taken offline ahead of the 'true' launch recently, and with Season 0 about to begin, those severs are going back online.
