It seems Fortnite's first foray with Street Fighter characters was a big success as Capcom has announced that two more of the world warriors will be parachuting off the fun bus into the massively popular battle royale title this weekend. Revealed as part of Street FIghter 5's summer update stream, both Cammy and Guile from Street Fighter 2 will be debuting in Epic's title on August 7, 2021, at 8:00 pm EST.
Sporting a bit of an aesthetic redesign, both characters not only feature alternate costumes but a variety of themed weapons and an exclusive "Street Fighter Round 2" loading screen. If you'd like to get an early taste for these new characters, Fortnite will be hosting a "Cammy Cup" duos tournament on August 5 that will give you a shot at unlocking her "Borealis Backer Back Bling" and character outfit. All players that earn at least eight points will also receive the exclusive loading screen.

In something of an odd twist, this Fortnite update seems better realized than Street Fighter 5's final DLC fighter. Nothing against Luke, but his design is a bit generic. I can't say that Guile looks appropriate within Fortnite (his face looks dead inside), but the cartoonish look of Epic's shooter fits the Street Fighter style well.
I'm not sure if we can expect more characters to make the jump, but it's intriguing that Ken hasn't been included. You'd think with his best bud Ryu on the roster that Ken would be a shoo-in for Fortnite. There's still time for him to make the drop.
