The Enclave Is Coming To Consoles This Fall

Publisher Ziggurat Interactive has revealed that, after nearly 20 years, action-RPG Enclave is getting a remaster on consoles later this year. The remaster will include improved visuals and an updated soundtrack with additional music.

Enclave will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch this fall, and will be also playable across PS5 and Xbox Series X|S via backward compatibility. We don’t know anything about the re-issue coming to PC, and we also don't yet know a specific release date for the game beyond "Fall".

Enclave is developed under a TopWare Interactive license. According to the publisher, the updated edition of Enclave will get improved visuals and sound effects, a reworked soundtrack with over 20 completely new tracks, remastered music from the original game, and much more.

Judging by the re-issue brief description, fans shouldn’t expect much from the upcoming Enclave remaster beyond some visual and audio updates. Despite its old age, the title will not be getting a full-fledged remake, and probably will just get updated textures and slightly improved effects with additional support for widescreen displays and modern controllers. However, it may well be enough for the fans of the original after almost 20 years.

Enclave originally arrived in 2002 for the first Xbox console, with a PC-version following in 2003. 10 years later the title was released on Nintendo Wii in 2012. This third-person action-adventure game has quickly received recognition for its atmospheric world and intense medieval combat action.

Other features include two separate story campaigns for the forces of Light or Darkness, 12 different and customizable character classes, and over 25 unique missions, full of hidden secrets and mighty bosses. The title is currently available for purchase on GOG and Steam, where the title stands at 75% positive reviews from users.

To other publisher’s upcoming re-releases, Ziggurat earlier announced that 2D action-platformer BloodRayne Betrayal’s high-definition remaster Fresh Bites will be arriving on September 9. The game will be available across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
