Kingdom Hearts is celebrating 20 years since the launch of the original game on PlayStation 2. While it’s an amazing milestone, the series isn’t showing any signs of resting on its laurels. Square Enix announced that a fourth installment is on its way. Footage of Kingdom Hearts IV can be seen in the below video (scroll to about the four minute mark to see it):

The trailer is a mix of gameplay and cinematics, but even at this point in development the game is looking to be shaping up quite nicely. Sora is back, and there hints aplenty of which worlds he, Goofy, and Donald might be visiting this time around. Square Enix has yet to announce platforms for the game, but given that the series is available to stream in its entirety on Nintendo Switch, anything is possible. We’ll keep you all posted as we learn more.
