Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.3 Glitch Turns Johnny Into Partly Invisible Man

The arrival of patch 1.3 to Cyberpunk 2077 has led to a number of much-needed tweaks and fixes being applied to the game. However, the update has also brought a variety of new and unexpected bugs to Cyberpunk 2077, including one that very noticeably affects Johnny Silverhand, one of the most important characters that players can encounter in Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077's rendition of Johnny Silverhand is based off of Keanu Reeves instead of David Bowie, which gives his character a different feel from the one in the original tabletop RPG. However, this new glitch makes him virtually unrecognizable by removing his head entirely, along with most of the rest of his body.

A Redditor captured a screenshot of the glitch, which shows Silverhand as a floating, one-armed torso. In the scene it was taken from he is meant to be threatening protagonist V, but the cybernetic arm he got his name from is completely absent along with his legs, neck, and head. Another bug that arrived alongsideCyberpunk 2077's patch 1.3 made parked cars float, but players may have an easier time overlooking floating vehicles than they do overlooking a major character becoming an invisible man. Or rather, a mostly invisible man, as his chest and flesh arm still seems to be displayed properly. His clothes, however, appear to be completely absent.

At least one other Redditor ran into the same problem and they have reportedly found the cause of the glitch. Apparently, it occurs when the player runs in such a way that, when Silverhand pushes them back in the event, they end up inside a wall. The result is that most of Silverhand's body seems to disappear. Hopefully, the bug doesn't last too long, as the tense relationship between V and Johnny Silverhand drives much of Cyberpunk 2077's main plot.

As of writing, some fans appear to be taking the glitch in good spirits, with one user joking that it's a new alternate outfit for the character. Two more chalk the issue up to either too much glitter or cybermods getting completely out of hand, the latter of which seems like a real problem that could happen in the transhuman capitalist nightmare that is Night City. Another, however, seems to be showing some bitterness aboutCyberpunk 2077's continued bugginess by wondering if they'll be able to find out what Silverhand actually looks like in update 1.7.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrades are in development.
