Last week, the Epic Games Store offered players two new free titles, with A Plague Tale: Innocence and Minit both available to claim. As of today, the duo have officially left the digital marketplace's weekly promotion, with Epic Games adding a new title in their place and announcing what will be up for grabs next week.
Right now, players can head over to the Epic Games Store to get their hands on Rebel Galaxy, which will be available from today until August 19 at 8:00 AM PT. Once the game's left the promotion, it will be replaced by next week's offerings of Yooka-Laylee and Void Bastards, which will stick around until August 26.

For those who've never played Rebel Galaxy, the 2015 sci-fi adventure offers players the ultimate space explorer fantasy, putting them behind the controls of a powerful starship and sending them off on adventures across the universe. Along the way, they'll get to trade with aliens, battle pirates, and ultimately decide what kind of captain they want to be, whether that's a heroic rogue or a money-hungry mercenary.
Meanwhile, Yooka-Laylee is a crowd-funded platformer that initially launched back in 2017. Viewed as a spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie series, the game follows the titular duo of Yooka and Laylee, a chameleon and a bat that must explore an array of colorful worlds looking for pages of a magical book. Much like Banjo-Kazooie, the game tasks players with discovering collectibles in open levels, using the pair's skills to traverse tricky platforming sections and complete puzzles. The game was worked on by several Rare veterans and spawned a franchise of its own, with Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair launching in 2019.
As for Void Bastards, the sci-fi strategy shooter hit shelves back in 2019, offering players a first-person action game heavily inspired by the likes of BioShock and System Shock 2. Sporting a cel-shaded art style, the game sees players lead the titular Void Bastards out of the Sargasso Nebula, raiding supplies and other materials from nearby spaceships. They'll have to decide how best to navigate these vessels, which are populated by creepy monsters and other hazards.
Those searching for some extra freebies this month can take a look at PlayStation Plus' monthly offerings for August, with subscribers able to snag Hunter's Arena: Legends, Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, and Tennis World Tour 2. Meanwhile, Xbox Games with Gold is offering a slate of games for no additional cost this month, with the lineup currently featuring Darksiders 3 and Lost Planet 3. On August 16, a further two games will join that list, with Yooka Laylee and Garou: Mark of the Wolves hitting the promotion.
