Frontier Developments Warhammer Age of Sigmar RTS is Delayed Further into 2023

Age of Sigmar RTS is Delayed

The 2020-announced Frontier Developments made Warhammer Age of Sigmar RTS is delayed further, just as quietly as the game was announced.

The news that the Warhammer Age of Sigmar RTS is delayed further comes via yet another investor relations update, confirming the game was delayed further into Frontier Developments’ 2023 fiscal year.

While details on the game are scant, it was originally announced back in 2020 and was set for a release sometime within the 2023 fiscal year, meaning it would ship by May 31st of 2023. Now it won’t ship until sometime between June 1st and December 31st, 2023.

Reasoning behind the delay was to “further improve the quality and longevity of the game, and overall make it more successful.” Also confirmed in the delay is that the company board has adjusted their revenue predictions for the 2023 fiscal year, from £130 million and £160 million.

The game will be set in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar world from Games Workshop, a tabletop fantasy game where you fight with miniatures. This has replaced the original Warhammer Fantasy Battles in 2015, got a second edition in 2018, and is extremely popular.

Another Warhammer strategy game is being worked on by Creative Assembly, the Total War Warhammer series – which is currently on its third entry.

We’ll keep you guys posted.
