Genshin Impact: How to Equip Wings and Gliders

In Genshin Impact, players can earn and purchase new wind gliders and outfits for their characters. But those who have unlocked a new set of wings might now be wondering exactly how they go about changing them.

The Dressing Room in Genshin Impact

To change clothing or wind gliders, players must access the Dressing Room. First, players need to head to Paimon's menu and click "Character." Select the character that will be getting the new wings, then select the coat hanger in the bottom right corner of the screen. If players have completed Dragon Storm, a quest in the Teyvat storyline Archon Quests, Prologue, Act I: The Outlander Who Caught the Wind, this will bring players into the Genshin Impact Dressing Room.

Now, players will be able to select from wind gliders or costumes. Those who purchased the Sea Breeze Dandelion, for example, will be able to change The Lion of South Jean's outfit and update the look of a character's wings. Each player can wear whatever wings a player chooses; selecting gliders for one character doesn't change the glider for all the others. The outfits and wings just change the look of the character and do not affect gameplay.

  • Wings of First Flight – These are the starting wings that everyone gets from Amber at the beginning of the game.
  • Wings of Companionship – These wings are the official launch wings mailed to everyone when Genshin Impact was released.
  • Wings of Descension – Only players on PS4 or PS5 can get or use these wings; they were mailed to everyone who played on the system. If players put these wings on while logged into a PlayStation then switch to PC or mobile, the wings will no longer be available until they return to the PlayStation. This isn't the only PS exclusive either; PC and mobile players won't get Aloy's bow, the Predator, which was one of the four new weapons revealed recently for Genshin's update 2.1.
  • Wings of Golden Flight – Reach Reputation Level 8 in Liyue.
  • Wings of Concealing Snow – Reach Frostbearing Tree Offering Level 12.
  • Wings of the Stormstrider – Reach Reputation Level 10 in Inazuma.
  • Wings of Feasting – These wings were exclusive to China, and players had to buy a specific meal from KFC to earn them.

Genshin Impact is available for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5.
