Bugs are a plentiful enemy type in Grounded, and it's great because game developers have figured out a way to make them terrifying without giving them radioactive mutations, such as in post-apocalyptic video games. Since you've shrunk down to the size of an ant in Grounded, it's no surprise that bugs are going to be the greatest threat to your survival.

Weevil
Dropped Items: Weevil Nose, Raw Weevil Meat

Weevils drop multiple items, so it's good that they're present in many different zones so that you can find them easily.
Gnat
Dropped Items: Gnat Fuzz, Raw Gnat Meat
Where To Find: Grasslands, Oak Hill, Flooded Zone
Gnats are annoying in real life; however, they're even worse when they're the same size as you. Luckily though, Gnats are easy to defeat, so you can get raw gnat meat easily if you need food.
Worker Ant
Dropped Items: Ant Head, Ant Part
Where To Find: Dry Grasslands, Oak Hill, Grasslands, Flower Bed, Anthills
Worker Ants aren't hostile like Soldier Ants, but they are annoying to deal with if there are many of them and you initiate combat. The best way to deal with Worker Ants is to only fight one at a time and don't start combat with them unless you need to.
Soldier Ant
Dropped Items: Ant Head, Ant Mandibles, Ant Part, Acid Gland
Where To Find: Dry Grasslands, Anthills
Soldier Ants are more combat-oriented than Worker Ants, which means that you'll need to come equipped with powerful weapons and armor to defeat them.
Bombardier Beetle
Dropped Items: Bombardier Part, Boiling Gland
Where To Find: Grasslands, Dry Grasslands
Beetles in Grounded aren't a large threat, but you do need to know where to find them if you want to farm their items. You can get Bombardier Parts and Boiling Glands by defeating a Bombardier Beetle, and they only appear in the Grasslands and the Dry Grasslands.
Diving Bell Spider
Dropped Items: Diving Bell Spider Chunk, Web Fiber
Where To Find: Koi Pond, Pond Lab, Pond Caves, Pond Depths
Diving Bell Spiders are tricky to fight compared to other spiders since they live in the water, but you shouldn't have a major problem with them as long as you have powerful equipment to use in wet terrain.
Wolf Spider
Dropped Items: Spider Venom, Spider Chunk, Spider Fang
Where To Find: Grasslands, Spider Caves, Oak Hill
Wolf Spiders aren't an enemy that you should be fighting unless you've crafted multiple powerful weapons and have a sturdy set of armor to go along with it. Fighting Wolf Spiders is hard work; they move quickly and deal a lot of damage. Avoid these enemies unless you need the items that they drop.
Spiderling
Dropped Items: Web Fiber
Where To Find: Grasslands, Dry Grasslands, Spider Cave, Hedge, Hedge Lab, The Broodmother Boss Fight
Spiderlings are small spiders that appear throughout many zones in Grounded. Although they're not nearly as much of a threat as Wolf Spiders, they drop Web Fiber which makes them a notable enemy. It's worth fighting these spiders if you come across them and have the proper weaponry.
Orb Weaver
Dropped Items: Web Fiber, Spider Chunk
Where To Find: Grasslands, Flower Bed, Eastern Flooded Zone, Spider Caves, Hedge
Orb Weavers drop two useful items, so it's worth noting where you can find these enemies. However, all of the items that it carries can be acquired from other spider enemies as well.
Orb Weaver Jr
Dropped Items: Web Fiber, Spider Chunk
Where To Find: Hedge, Hedge Lab, The Broodmother Boss Fight
A weaker version of the Orb Weaver, defeating an Orb Weaver Jr is a great method for easily obtaining Web Fiber and Spider Chunks.
Aphid
Dropped Items: Raw Aphid Meat
Where To Find: Grasslands, Oak Hill, Flower Bed, Eastern Flooded Zone
Aphids aren't one of the most interesting enemies in Grounded, but they're a great source of food since they drop raw aphid meat when they're defeated.
Grub
Dropped Items: Grub Hide, Grub Goop, Raw Grub Meat
Where To Find: Grasslands, Oak Hill, Caverns, Spider Caves
Grubs are an easy-to-find method for obtaining meat in Grounded, and the fact that you get two other items when you defeat them only adds to why you should fight them whenever possible.
Ladybug
Dropped Items: Ladybug Parts, Ladybug Head
Where To Find: Grasslands, Oak Hill, Flower Bed
Ladybugs are beautiful creatures, and they're giant in Grounded. Ladybugs won't attack you for no reason, but you can fight them if you initiate combat first.
Bee
Dropped Items: Bee Fuzz, Bee Stinger
Where To Find: Grasslands, Flower Bed
Unsurprisingly, Bees are commonly found in the Grasslands and the Flower Bed regions, so you can easily find them if you need Bee Fuzz or a Bee Stinger.
Firefly
Dropped Items: Iridescent Scale, Bioluminescent Goop
Where To Find: Flower Bed At Night, Flooded Zone At Night
Unlike most insects, Fireflies only appear at night, and you can only fight them in the Flower Bed and Flooded Zone regions. They drop multiple rare items, so you should fight them if you come across them while exploring.
Infected Weevil
Dropped Items: Weevil Nose, Fungal Growth
Where To Find: Haze, Haze Lab
Infected Weevils are unique-looking creatures that are easily recognizable. You can find them near the Haze Lab.
Infected Mite

Mosquito
Dropped Items: Mosquito Blood Sack, Mosquito Beak
Where To Find: Flower Bed, Flooded Zone
Similar to the real-world, Mosquitos in Grounded are frustrating to deal with. Luckily though, they're large in Grounded, so it's easy to spot them and fight them. Mosquitos are located in the Flower Bed and Flooded Zone regions.
Larva
Dropped Items: Larva Spike, Acid Gland
Where To Find: Larva Cave, Grasslands, Eastern Flooded Zone
Although Larva aren't particularly rare, they aren't found in every area of the Backyard, so you'll most likely need to travel before finding them if you need the materials that they drop.
Lawn Mite
Dropped Items: Mite Fuzz
Where To Find: Grasslands, Dry Grasslands, Wire Cave, Eastern Flooded Zone
Lawn Mites only drop Mite Fuzz when they die, so they're not too important compared to other enemies. However, if you need Mite Fuzz, then they're a great source, especially considering the easy-to-access zones they reside in.
Water Flea
Dropped Items: Water Flea Meat
Where To Find: Eastern Flooded Zone, Koi Pond
Water Fleas are only found in the Eastern Flooded Zone and at the Koi Pond, but they're not too difficult to locate once you're there.
Stinkbug
Dropped Items: Stinkbug Parts, Stinkbug Gas Sack
Where To Find: Grasslands, Flower Bed
Stinkbugs are large creatures that can create a large cloud that damages everything inside of it. Be careful not to get too close to a Stinkbug if you decide to fight one. Instead, use a bow to damage it from a distance to avoid being damaged by it's gas.
Bosses
There's currently only one major boss themed around a bug or arthropod in Grounded; however, the developers will likely add more in the future.
Hedge Broodmother
Dropped Items: Broodmother Fang, Broodmother Chunk, Broodmother Venom
Where To Find: The Broodmother Lair, Near The Flingman Flying Disk
The Broodmother is a spider boss, and it's one of the strongest enemies in Grounded. You gain many useful components by defeating it, but you need to have very powerful equipment before attempting to fight it.
