New World: What Are Trophies?

Table Of Contents

Combat Gathering & Luck Crafting

Beyond your weapons and armor, New World has a few additional mechanics you can utilize to increase the strength of your character. Trophies are one such system, granting your character useful passive effects that can increase your damage output, luck with a certain gathering profession, or the Gear Score of items you make.

Before you can take advantage of Trophies, you’ll first need a house. Obtain a house, then increase your Furnishing skill to unlock the ability to craft and place these Trophies. We’ll be going over what Trophies are, how to obtain them, and what every Trophy in New World does.

What Are Trophies?

Trophies are unique furnishings for houses that grant passive buffs for your character. These buffs follow you to every zone in New World, meaning you always benefit from your Trophy buffs. Each house can display five unique Trophies at a time. You can’t place the same Trophy in a house multiple times, but you can place that same Trophy once in each of your houses, effectively stacking that Trophy’s effects. For example, you can’t put three Mining Trophies in the same house, but you could put one Mining Trophy in three houses you own.

How To Obtain Trophies

All Trophies are obtained through New World’s crafting system. As you increase your crafting skills, you’ll unlock recipes to craft certain types of Trophies. Exceptionally high ranks in a crafting skill will unlock higher tiers of the same Trophy, granting a stronger effect. These higher-tier Trophies do require rarer crafting materials, so be mindful of which resources you’re using to make these Trophies.
