Pokemon Unite Launches On Mobile In September

Pokemon Unite, Nintendo's brand new MOBA for the Switch, is coming to mobile devices on September 22.

You can sign up for preregistration right now on Google Play while pre-orders are live on the App Store. This was all unveiled at the beginning of today's Pokemon Presents livestream.

"Nintendo Switch and mobile device users can play together in Pokemon Unite – we hope as many people as possible can enjoy it together," Nintendo stated. "Players will also receive special gifts in their game based on the number of people who preregister for the mobile version thanks to the special campaign happening now."

As pictured above, if there are 2,500,000+ players who preregister, you will get acess to Unite License: Pikachu. However, if that number is doubled, players who partake will receive a Pikachu Holowear called Special Festival Style. A 'Holowear' to clarify is Unite's answer to skin cosmetics.

"We hope you'll all preregister and look forward to the mobile release," Nintendo added. "Players who were quick to jump in with the Nintendo Switch version can also get Zeraora's Unite License as a launch bonus. The Unite License can also be used in the mobile version by linking accounts."

Evidently, Pokemon Unite will not only have cross-platform play between Switch and mobile devices but it will also have cross-platform progression on launch. This means that anything you own on mobile will be accessible on Switch and vice-versa.
