Though this may come as a surprise to fans that haven't kept up with it, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is still going strong. In fact, its next character, Jiren Full Power, just got a new gameplay trailer showing off what he is capable of. The trailer depicts a battle between Jiren Full Power and Ultra Instinct Goku just like the Tournament of Power, except in this case it is Goku that is being overwhelmed. The trailer also closes out with a short teaser hinting at who the next DLC character coming to the game is, and it has fans somewhat confused.
Jiren is something of a controversial character. On the one hand, many admire his raw power and ability to completely dominate every other fighter in the Tournament of Power. On the other hand, some fans feel as though the character is too flat and lacks what it takes to make a compelling Dragon Ball Z villain. Regardless of how one feels about him, it's safe to say that he is one of the strongest mortals in the multiverse. He's also a popular choice for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

It's worth noting that Jiren is already a character in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, but this incarnation is his full power mode that he resorts to once Goku starts to prove troublesome. This version of the character features a menacing red aura, and should be far stronger than the base form of Jiren. Unfortunately, it's unlikely that either will be able to transform into the other, as these are both separate characters altogether.
After Jiren's showcase, a short scene gives players a hint at what is coming next. The bit very obviously depicts Goku and Vegeta doing the Metamoran fusion dance to become Gogeta, but this doesn't quite add up. Gogeta Blue is already in the game as a playable character so it couldn't be him. It's possible that this will be base Gogeta that has the capability to transform into various Super Saiyan forms, but there's another possibility. Some fans think this is teasing that the next character will be another form of Broly from Dragon Ball Super, as the two were forced to fuse in order to defeat him in the movie.
Regardless of what comes next, hopefully fans enjoy playing as Jiren (Full Power) when he releases. While it may seem like the game is running out of characters to add as DLC, there is always the ongoing manga series to draw from. Characters like Moro and Granolah are all viable options.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
