Fortnite’s new season makes a stunning appearance with a new cinematic trailer featuring the new villain as well as the introduction of chrome to the island. Expect a fresh new look at the map along with new weapons and items packed alongside an excellent battle pass featuring Spider-Gwen.

The effect of chrome will be visible throughout the games you play with the introduction of chrome weapons, chests, and throwables. These additions will bring a new twist to the gameplay formula and give players new options to engage in battle. A new slide kick mechanic too makes an appearance letting you slide towards enemies and push them backward.
The Chrome ‘Paradise’ brings new and updated points of interest to the map such as the floating Condo Canyon and the Herald’s Sanctum. The addition of the new D-launchers makes these locations accessible as they are widespread over the island.
The roster of weapons has also seen updates with the inclusion of the brand new EvoChrome Shotgun and EvoChrome Burst Rifle that can be found in the chrome chests layered throughout the map. These weapons have the unique feature of being able to upgrade in rarity the more you inflict damage on opponents with them. This gives you the chance to upgrade that weak common weapon to an overpowered mythic variant during the game.
Saving the best for last, the most impressive new addition is the Chrome Splash, giving players multiple opportunities such as the ability to shoot through enemies’ structures when you throw it at them or even walk through the wall it hits! You can also throw the chrome splash on yourself to gain new powers and stop taking damage from bullets for a limited time. These powers also let you turn into a blob of silver when you start sprinting or lets you dash mid-air through any structures in your way.

The game is bringing a fresh take to the vault system in the game and brings multiple different levels of security to the vaults with greater rewards for the high security vaults in comparison with the low security ones.
The new update will be rolled out by Epic Games today on all supporting platforms: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch.
