The remake of Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon is officially out in Japan, and if you can't wait to pick it up, Type-Moon's visual novel now has its opening cutscene uploaded for everyone to watch.
Back in January, Fate series creator Type-Moon announced it was finally launching its remake for the early-2000 era series this year, and it would release on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. That promise was kept with its recent launch in Japan on August 26, keeping original talent from the first game on board like series director Kinoko Nasu.

As shared by Twinfinite, the remake's opening cutscene features work from Japanese animation studio Ufotable and pop singer Reona. The designs and animations are strikingly Fate-like, bringing the older series more in line with what fans of some of Type-Moon's more modern projects may expect.
Tsukihime spent quite some time out of the public eye before Type-Moon reaffirmed its commitment to the project. There's no word on a release for fans in the west right now, but the developer's Fate series has soared to global popularity—so there's a bit of room to keep up the hope.
While it's a bit of a bummer the west is left out for Tsukihime, there's still plenty of visual novels to indulge in, like Genshin Impact creator Mihoyo's Tears of Themis. You could also grab The House in Fata Morgana on Nintendo Switch, since it's been sitting at a perfect score on Metacritic.
