Reckon you're pretty good at Fall Guys? The American Red Cross is hosting a tournament next month where top players can win a weekend in Las Vegas – all while assisting relief efforts for those affected by this year's extreme weather conditions.
The Rescue Royale event kicks off September 9, running until October 16. While there are many ways for the gaming community to get involved, the Fall Guys tournament looks set to be the main attraction, with the final taking place in the HyperX Esports Arena, Vegas, and the winner taking home a trophy and a mysterious grand prize.

After registration opens September 9, you have until September 26 to take part in the first phase of pre-qualifiers. The second phase starts October 2, and you progress by raising at least $700 for the fundraiser, and making it into the top 20 of the skill-based leaderboards. Following that, the top three progress to the Vegas final, with the chance of taking home that undisclosed prize.
If Fall Guys isn't really your speed, there are many other ways to get involved. The Rescue Royale Charity Stream-a-thon also starts September 9, where anyone can sign up to stream their favourite titles and take part in the fundraiser. You have between September 9 and October 16 to get your own charity stream up and running, and you can sign up on the event's Tiltify page.
It's unsurprising to see a huge charity such as The Red Cross turn to video games for their fundraising efforts. The gaming community has long proven to be generous with its donations, with Games Done Quick comfortably raising over $1 million at each of its events in the past few years. In fact, just last month Summer Games Done Quick raised $2,897,000 for Doctors Without Borders, even with the event having to be digital once more. It's planning to return to a physical venue next year, likely increasing the amount it raises even further.
