After releasing just a couple of days ago, Hades is now Metactitic's highest-rated game on both PS5 and Xbox Series.
As reported by VGC, Hades has overtaken every other game on both consoles and now stands as the highest-rated game on both Xbox and PlayStation.

On PS5, Hades stands at an impressive score of 93, putting it one point above the previously highest-rated PS5 game, Demon's Souls, which sits at a 92. Just below that is Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 at 90, whilst the next few spots are a tie between Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Intergrade, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, and Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, which are all rated 89.
It's a similar story over on Xbox, with Hades getting an overall score of 94, which is likely due to the crashes that were present in the PS5 version at launch. Hades stands above Microsoft Flight Simulator, which is ranked 90, and It Takes Two which is rated 89. Below that are titles like Hitman 3, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, and Tetris Effect.
For comparison's sake, on the Nintendo Switch side of things Hades sits at the same score of 93 as the PS5 version, which puts it as the fifth highest-rated game on that system. Games like Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild unfortunately take over Hades as the best-rated games.
Hades' continued domination over pretty much everything to do with gaming probably shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, considering it was a critical darling when it released last year, even earning Game of the Year awards up against titans like The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima.
That victory was when the game was only available on Nintendo Switch and PC too, so with the extended audience it's getting through Xbox Game Pass and PS5, it's sure to keep up the momentum in 2021 and continue being the prime example of what indie games can really do. Shame we might not see a sequel though.
