Pokemon Legends: Arceus Will Include A Crafting System

Nintendo has revealed that Pokemon Legends: Arceus will include a crafting system that will allow you to craft a variety of different items with the resources you gather from around the world. This news was first shared by Nintendo via the Nintendo of America Twitter account which posted two screenshots, one of which shows the crafting system in action.

From what can be gathered from this one screenshot, players will be able to collect raw materials such as Apricorns and use them to craft useful items. The screenshot Nintendo has shared shows the player using an Apricorn and an item called a "Tumblestone" to craft a Poke Ball. From this, we can assume that better Poke Balls will require rarer materials, and that items that you previously had to find or purchase from Poke Marts may now only be available via crafting.

Also shared by Nintendo was a screenshot of what looks like a small camp out in the wilderness. The camp includes a couple of tents, a campfire, a big chest, and what looks like some kind of workbench. It's suggested that players will be able to use these camps to craft items, but the inclusion of a chest and campfire suggests these camps may also be used to store items and cook food.

We'll have to wait a little while to see how deep the crafting system actually is, but we'll likely learn more information about the game soon as Nintendo apparently has a "robust rollout" planned for Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Although, thanks to the game's most recent trailer shown during the previous Pokemon Presents showcase, we actually know a lot more now.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus will include new variations on exisiting Pokemon, such as Hisuian Growlithe and Braviary, and will also introduce new evolutions such as Basculegion and an unnamed Stantler evolution. Despite looking a bit rough, Pokemon Legends: Arceus is still expected to launch on January 28 next year, exclusively on Nintendo Switch. The game will also receive Pokemon Home support around the same time.
